A Mixed Bag of Randomness

First of all, if I owe you an email, please be patient because I am swamped. I will get back to you. I guess this is what you get for taking a break from replying emails for 2 weeks. My justification: it was holidays season.
Search referral of the day is “how firda beka learn english”. Here’s how: I had an English teacher extraordinaire for a mother and I happened to be her favourite student. The rest is up to your imagination.
Oh, did you know (or would you care) that Britney Spears is planning to quit her music career to become a forensic scientist after being inspired by CSI, the TV show? Probably not.

The boy and I have become addicted to Vietnamese food. We just have to go to a Vietnamese restaurant at least once a week. I don’t know why the boy has become addicted to it, but the reason for my addiction is it’s the closest to Indonesian food I can get while I’m in Canada.
Over the holidays season, I learn that I’m not so bad at trivia. I did fairly well at the Canadian edition of Cranium (even though my team lost by quite a narrow margin) and the boy and I managed to win the 90s edition of Trivial Pursuit. To quote a friend of the boy’s, between the boy and me, we’ve got the universe covered. We rock! 🙂
Did I mention that we saw Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events last weekend? I obviously liked it better than The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou because I didn’t fall asleep this time. And Jude Law’s voice is oh so sexy! 😉
Um, I think that’s about all for now. More later!

  1. That Britney Spears article sounds a bit like the storyline for the film ‘Legally Blonde’ – a girly unacademic blonde registers at Harvard Law School so that she can be with a guy. Still, that article is so bizarre I don’t think you could make it up.
I don’t think I’ve ever tried Vietnamese food – next time I come across a Vietnamese restaurant I’ll check it out.
