Birthday In Absentia

Yellow Flower

Today is my mother’s birthday. She would’ve been 63. I went up to the nearby food mart this morning to grab half a dozen samosas to celebrate. I don’t know if my mother had ever had any samosas in her life, but I know she would’ve liked it.

To mark her 63rd birthday, I’ve decided to open my humble photoblog, Chromatic Life, for public consumption today. I used to have a domain for it, but I didn’t get to work on it before the domain expired. Yeah, I suck.

I’m using Pixelpost to power my photoblog, which I highly recommend. If you can’t be bothered to install any script or just don’t have the web space to build one, Shutterchance seems like a good alternative. Shutterchance is more photoblog-ish than Flickr-ish in nature because you can only publish one photo a day, but it’s free and you get a nice URL to go with it.

Anyway, I hope I’ll be able to keep posting to my photoblog because the last time I had one, it didn’t last very long. Wish me luck!

  1. Hey, beautiful site, I checked out “Chromatic life”, your picture of Elora is pretty neat, there are some great photographic opportunities there – tubing in the summer and the late October evening photographic opportunities with the “shopping pigs” display along the street that parallels the river.
