If my weblog had a Frustrating Game of the Day (FGotD) feature, Ripley’s IQ Game would be it for today. The object of the game is to jump the balls over each other like you do in a checkers game until you only have one ball left. The least ball I can get so far is two balls. So frustrating. I don’t think it would take a genius to solve it. I guess I just have to keep on trying.

the whole point of the game is to have 8 left, that you cant jump over any of them.
Aww. You should’ve added “SPOILER WARNING!” so I can put a bucket on my head.
By the way, I’ve now perfected the technique and thought I’d post the solution. First, imagine the squares on the board are labeled like so:
1
2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9 A
B C D E F
At the beginning of the game, the “F” square is unoccupied. The first move will be to move the ball from square 6 to square F. I’ll write it like this: “6 -> F”. So the sequence of moves in order to win the game is this:
6 -> F
B -> 6
3 -> 8
E -> 5
2 -> 9
7 -> 2
1 -> 4
C -> E
4 -> D
E -> C
6 -> D
C -> E
F -> E
what a beautifull web-log π I’ve got one myself..but this very different than mine π But he’s great! π

I did it too — eventually. Don’t ask me how. But here’s proof that I did: http://www.geocities.com/indeedsir/ripley.gif
My grandmother used to have this triangular wooden peg game, you moved the pegs in the same way til you had one left.
Miraculously, I remembered how to play it and won in my 2nd try π
Thanks for the link, I will have to ask grandma where those games are!
I found another solution:
