I Feel Good!

The Shower Sign Holder

I hope Troy won’t hate me too much for posting this picture. Hehe. I’d forgotten all about it until I rediscovered it last night as I was browsing through my Flickr photostream to find some photos to add into my Personal Favourites set. We were doing some hiking in a provincial park last Spring and I saw the shower sign lying around on the ground. Of course I had to ask Troy to pose with it. πŸ™‚

So, it’s currently election season here in Canada and all candidates are busy campaigning and throwing promises. Vote selling is illegal in Canada, but when Canadians are asked how much for their vote, their answers range between the price of a movie ticket to that of a new couch. The news is written based on the data collected by BuyMyVote.ca.

Speaking of buying things, would you like to buy a US$20 bill with Del Monte fruit sticker on it for, say, $10,100? That’s how much the owner of the banknote paid for it in 2003 on an eBay auction, but it’s certainly worth a lot more now. I know anyone can stick a sticker on a banknote but not before the seal and serial number are printed. The fruit sticker must’ve made its way during the printing process. Whether the printer put it there on purpose or not is up for a debate.

Still on the topic of buying things, you have to be very suspicious when buying kebabs from Shanghai street vendors because what advertised as lamb or rabbit kebabs might actually be stray kitty kebabs. Poor kitties.

I don’t know how many hours Troy spent to get to the end of his Super Mario 64 game, but this video shows that you can beat the game in merely 16 minutes after only getting 16 stars. Not that Troy would want to do that. He enjoys playing videogames for hours too much. πŸ˜‰

I just took the Animal in You personality test and, according to my results, I am either a Mountain Goat or a Snake, but I may also be a Bat. None of them sounds exactly like me in reality but I think the Bat personality is the closest to mine. Though you won’t be able to find me in underground clubs or dimly lit bars. That’s just not me.

Today’s game requires a lot of concentration. It’s called Greyscale. What you need to do is click Z when the red dot is on the white space, X on the grey space, and C on the black space. It’s simple, but it’s certainly not easy. I still have yet to pass level 2. I’m sure you can do better. I’m only good at games that only require one control key.

Have I mentioned that we’re going to go see James Brown live tomorrow night? My brother- and sister-in-law gave us tickets to see him as a Christmas present, and also as a reason for us to come and visit them because the venue is close to where they live and they live about two hours away from us. I’m sure it’s going to be a lot of fun. I hope your weekend will be just as fun. See you on Monday!

  1. Hehe, cool picture.
I know this might seem a little weird, or even ODD, although me and my girlfriend have decided today that we want to send letters to people all over the world. Canada is one of these places. Really, we’d just want to send a random person a letter and hope that they’d come on our blog and say “hey, thanks for the letter, it was sweet, nice site, goodbye” kind of thing.
Anyway, since you wonderful people are from Canada, i was wondering if you’d find a random address for a house somewhere in Canada (preferably a house in a big city where the person is likely to have internet access – fussy I know) and either comment the address back here, or e-mail me it.
Obviously, you don’t HAVE to email or comment an address, or even spend time finding one. I’d just really appreciate it and it’d help me and my girlfriend out.
Either way, thanks for taking the time to read this request πŸ™‚

  2. Love that photo of Troy! πŸ™‚ Heheh, I took the Animal personality test and I ended up as either Snake or Bar, but may be Otter as well… :-S
