It’s All About the Photo Ops

First Time Published!

Well, Troy said, “So you should like update your blog and junk!” And I aim to please, so here I am, updating my blog and junk even though I have a sore throat and therefore am not feeling too hot right now.

We received the magazine with my picture in it yesterday. It was cool. Like too cool to drool for school. Also yesterday I heard that I’m getting another picture published in another magazine. I was like, OMG, people actually like my work and crap! It was a rather humbling moment. Kinda like when I started getting clients in my web designer days, minus all the frustrations of dealing with the said clients, which I can definitely do without.

I’ve been posting to my photolog daily without fail since I re-started it almost three weeks ago, so if you ever miss my posts (ha!), definitely head over there. I always tell a little story to go with the picture. Not necessarily interesting, but a story nonetheless.

So it looks like we might be driving out East again in autumn (waaah, such a long time from now!), only this time there would be four of us since we’re going to tag along with Troy’s parents. I heard the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia looks even more beautiful in autumn so that’s one photo op I’m looking forward to. I’m also hoping that we’d be able to stop at Gaspé Peninsula, Quebec and walk down the seabed in the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick during the low tide.

Tomorrow we’re going to make a daytrip to the Niagara Falls for some photo ops. The weather there is supposed to be better than here in Waterloo where it snows every single day. This snow thing is really getting kind of old. We have a wedding to go to next month and I wonder if there will still be snow on the ground by then. I guess there’s only one way to find out.

  1. Hi Firda. Your pictures are awesome. Every single of them deserves to be in a magazine.
I’ve never been to Nova Scotia, but remember a Canadian friend told about her trip there. Beautiful place, especially in early fall.

  2. Haha. I doubt every single of my photos is worth publishing, but thanks for the compliment. 🙂
We went to Nova Scotia two years ago in late summer for our honeymoon and it was beautiful all around. Took a bunch of pictures while I was there. They’re in this Flickr set if you’d like to check it out.
