Love is Strange

It’s yet another picture from last winter. Or rather, the end of last winter. We went to Long Point Provincial Park. The sky was clear and the lake was still frozen. Well, at least part of it. It made a really pretty sight.

Okay, now let’s take a look at what the Intarweb has in store for us today. A survey of 1,000 Italians aged 25-55 showed that most Italians feel more guilty about over-eating than they do about cheating on their partners. Not sure if the main problem is in the food (Italian food is very yummy!) or in the relationships.

Speaking of relationships, an Australian woman was charged with unlawful wounding after repeatedly stabbing her partner with a pair of scissors. The reason was because her partner had been playing the song “Burning Love” by Elvis Presley over and over again which, apparently, annoyed the heck out of her.

I am prone to playing one song over and over again, especially when that song had been stuck in my head for days. That’s my way of getting the song out of my head. The song currently stuck in my head is one called “Walk Away Renee”. Many artists have done a cover of this song, from Cyndi Lauper to Tori Amos. Sadly, I can’t find any MP3 file of the song so I can’t get the song out of my head yet. Anyway, in my search for the song, I came across this Tori Amos site with a number of MP3 files of a variety of songs she’s done live, including a bunch of covers. I’d recommend you download her cover of Billy Joel’s “Piano Man”. It’s lovely.

I always write long-winded sentences when I’m talking about music. I apologise.

10 mph is a documentary film that I’d love to see. It’s about two guys travelling from Seattle, WA to Boston, MA. On a Segway. You know, the scooter? I hope they’ll play it at the local indie cinema here in Waterloo.

I must admit, I didn’t do very well at the Flag Game. By the time I got to the 9th flag, I already ran out of time. By then, I had only scored a pathetic 200. And you’re supposed to guess 15 flags in 10 minutes. Let me know how well/bad you did!

The flash game for today is called The Maze. What you need to do is move the ball around the maze with your mouse and collect the stars. It can be frustrating at times but it’s quite addictive.

Well, I’d better post this entry now before your lunchtime is over. Enjoy!
