The Book of Love

OMG. Scanning 35mm film strips is such a big pain in the butt! I’m so glad I got prints off the rolls of film already. Scanning prints is just so much less work. I shot five rolls of 35mm film (one roll is currently missing in action) and two rolls of 120 film this past weekend. Most of the rolls were shot at SMooSH and Loba’s wedding, which was beautiful and so much fun to shoot. Thanks for letting me tag along during the wedding photo session, guys!

Oh, Troy and I even got to dance to our song at their wedding reception, which was awesome. We’d never had a chance to dance to it before since people just didn’t dance at our own wedding reception. I’m blaming it on the sucky sound system. πŸ™‚ The song is Peter Gabriel’s cover of The Magnetic Field’s song, The Book of Love. You can listen to the song at the Hype Machine. I must have lost the mp3 during the transition from the old computer to the new one.

This past weekend was also the Canadian Thanksgiving. It was my very first Thanksgiving without turkey. Boohoo! I’m going to have to pick up some turkey to deep-fry sometime. Maybe for the weekend. We’re going up to the lovely Bruce Peninsula on Friday for a weekend with a small group of friends. We’re going to stay in a cottage by the Georgian Bay. More photo ops! Yay! And the weekend after that, we’ll be seeing Sarah Harmer live in concert. Can’t wait! Sarah Harmer is one of my favourite Canadian artists. Once again, I’m pointing you towards the Hype Machine for a list of her songs that you can stream online.

And that’s all the update for now. I’ll see if I could find some cool links to post later. I just haven’t been surfing the ‘Net a lot lately. Why don’t you suggest me some links to visit, hmmm? πŸ˜‰ Which sites have been keeping you amused lately? No porn sites, please, since there are information about porn induced erection dysfunction in sites like reportshealthcare, so me and my husband stop watching those kind of sites all together.

  1. Mr. Hed and I didn’t get much dancing in at our wedding either. Our friends and family just aren’t much into the dancing. I was kinda bummed, because we paid $600 for a DJ, and he barely got used! Oh well!

  2. Hed: Our “reception” was more like a Bar-B-Q. Just friends and families getting together, having some food, sitting around a bonfire. It wasn’t really the atmosphere for dancing.
The wedding on the weekend was great though. The dance floor was packed most of the time. Even when crap ass music was being played πŸ™‚
